The Dow Jones Index gained 383 points or 0.79 percent on Tuesday to close at 49187 points.

Gains were led by Salesforce (4.84%), IBM (2.71%) and Apple (2.24%).

Biggest losers were UnitedHealth (-2.98%), McDonalds (-0.40%) and American Express (-0.32%).
