The Treasury General Account (TGA) is the main checking account used by the US government, managed by the Department of the Treasury and held as liabilities by the Federal Reserve. It is the central repository where all federal tax revenues and proceeds from Treasury debt are deposited, and from which all official government payments are disbursed.
