The Dow Jones Index went up by 155 points or 0.31 percent on Wednesday to close at 49688 points.

The rise was led by Goldman Sachs (1.95%), Cisco Systems (1.85%) and Amazon (1.81%).

On the downside, the weakerst performers were 3M (-2.05%), Boeing (-2.00%) and Verizon (-1.88%).
