Japan's Jobless Rate Drops to 3.5% in February


Japan's seasonally adjusted unemployment was reported at 3.5 percent in February, slightly down from 3.6 percent reported in the same month of 2014 while the jobs availability rose to the highest in more than 20 years.

The number of employed persons in February 2015 was 63.22 million, an increase of 390 thousand or 0.6% from the previous year.

The number of unemployed persons in February 2015 was 2.26 million, a decrease of 60 thousand or 2.6% from the previous year.

The jobs-to-applicants ratio rose to 1.15 from 1.14 in January, the highest level since March 1992.
