Overtime pay in Japan rose 2.7% in November from a year earlier, posting an annual growth for the eight straight month and accelerating from a 2.3% increase in October. The rise in overtime pay signaled strong corporate activity as Japanese firms ramp up production following the pandemic-induced slowdown.
