Compared to the previous month, both the number of unemployed and employed was marginally unchanged at 2 million and 40.04 million respectively (from 2.02 million and 39.99 million respectively in January).
Compared with the same month last year, unemployment fell 5.7 percent while employment grew 1.1 percent.
Youth unemployment rate decreased to 7.2 percent from 7.3 percent in January and 7.9 percent in February of 2014.
Separate data from the Labour Office showed the number of unemployed people decreased by a better-than-expected 15000 to 2.8 million, bringing the jobless rate to a record low 6.4 percent.
