Goods inflation is expected to increase to 2.4 percent in February from 1.3 percent in January, due to an acceleration in energy (2.9 percent vs 2.3 percent) and food prices (1.5 percent vs 0.8 percent). Meanwhile, services cost is likely to increase 1.4 percent in February, the same pace as in the previous month, with rents prices advancing 1.4 percent, also the same as in January.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices are set to advance 0.5 percent in February, reversing a 0.8 percent drop in January and matching market forecasts.
The harmonised index of consumer prices is expected to rise 1.7 percent from the previous year, the same as in January; and 0.5 percent month-over-month (vs -1 percent in January).
