US stocks moved higher on Friday, with the S&P 500 gaining 0.4%, the Nasdaq rising 0.6% and the Dow Jones advancing 107 points.

The gains were driven by a rebound in tech shares following the previous session’s sell-off.

Sentiment was supported by reports that OpenAI expects to reach or exceed $70 billion in annualized revenue by year-end, easing concerns that sales were falling short ofprojections.

Meanwhile, lower oil prices helped alleviate some pressure on the bond market.

Consumer discretionary and real estate stocks were also among the strongest performers.

Tesla jumped 2.7% as Elon Musk made it clear who will own and operate Terafab.

On the other hand, Apple shares fell 2.5% after reports it told some suppliers to cut production of components for iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models.

Delta Air Lines was also down 3% after missing on earnings and cutting its outlook.

On the week, both the Dow and the Nasdaq are little changed while the S&P 500 is up 0.6% so far.

US Futures Rebound
US equity futures were slightly higher on Friday as AI infrastructure stocks rebounded and Treasury yields maintained yesterday's pullback. Contracts for the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq 100 gained 0.5% and 1%, respectively, approaching record highs from earlier in the week. Chipmakers rallied as markets looked past speculative risks, shaking off concerns over a report that OpenAI's revenue could fall short of earlier estimates. Broadcom, Micron, Marvell, AMD, and Lam Research each climbed more than 2% in premarket trading. On the software side, Amazon, Alphabet, and Meta gained around 1% each. The sector drew further support as SoftBank sought to raise $100 billion from Gulf investors for additional AI ventures. Meanwhile, traditional sectors enjoyed respite as long-term yields pulled back from multi-decade peaks. US President Donald Trump signaled that the US would not strike Iran before the midterm elections next month, cooling energy prices and inflation expectations.
