US Labor Force Participation Rate Falls to 61.5%

The Labor Force Participation Rate in the United States decreased by 0.3 percentage points to 61.5% in June 2026.

It is the lowest rate since March 2021, as 720,000 people left the labor force.

Excluding the pandemic years 2020 and 2021, the labour force is at its lowest since 1976.
