Industrial production in the US rose 0.7% month-over-month in September, the most in five months and more than market expectations of 0.4%.
Manufacturing output, which accounts for about 78% of total industrial production, increased 0.3%, in line with market expectations.
Meanwhile, mining production advanced 0.2%, and utilities rose 3.5%, supported by increased output from both electric and natural gas utilities.
