US TIC Inflows Reach $83.7 Billion in July

Net foreign acquisitions of long-term securities, short-term US securities and banking flows resulted in a net TIC inflow of $83.7 billion in July 2026.
Net foreign private inflows totaled $73.5 billion, while net foreign official inflows reached $10.2 billion.
Foreign residents increased their holdings of long-term US securities, with net purchases of $40.6 billion, including net sales of $3.7 billion by private foreign investors and net purchases of $44.4 billion by foreign official institutions.
US residents increased their holdings of long-term foreign securities, with net purchases of $68.5 billion.
After adjustments, overall net foreign sales of long-term securities were estimated at $27.9 billion.
Foreign residents also increased their holdings of US Treasury bills by $38.8 billion, while holdings of all dollar-denominated short-term US securities and other custody liabilities rose by $65 billion.
