US Wages Growth Misses Forecasts

Average hourly earnings for all employees on US private nonfarm payrolls, rose by just 2 cents, or 0.1% over a month to $37.62 in July 2026, down from a 0.3% increase in June and missing the expected 0.3% advance.
In July, average hourly earnings of private-sector production and nonsupervisory employees, at $32.40, were little changed (+4 cents).
Over the year, average hourly earnings have increased by 3.2%, following a downwardly revised 3.4% rise in June and missing analysts' estimates of a 3.4% increase.
