US Stocks Gain Traction

US equity indices were mostly higher on Tuesday with support from the tech sector ahead of key earnings releases.

The S&P 500 and the Dow rose around 0.5%, gaining ground after multiple muted sessions, while the Nasdaq 100 increased 1%.

Micron, Intel, and Sandisk surged 7% to extend the rebound from last week's rout after strong export data from Taiwan and South Korea maintained the momentum for semiconductor producers.

The sector rose ahead of Alphabet's earnings tomorrow, serving as the latest signal for AI infrastructure demand by hyperscalers.

Tesla was also 1% higher ahead of its earnings tomorrow.

Meanwhile, other sectors halted recent selling pressure despite further escalation between Iran and the US and its impact on higher energy prices.

Treasury yields remained high and drove financial stocks to trim part of their earnings-fueled rally last week.

GM rose 2% after posting their results, while Charles Schwab sank 3% after missing earnings estimates.
