US equity indices extended yesterday's rebound amid another strong session for chip producers and optimistic corporate results.
Contract for the S&P 500 and the Dow were around 0.3% higher, while the Nasdaq 100 rose nearly 1%.
Amazon surged over 12% after reporting an acceleration in cloud-computing revenue for a fifth quarter, easing concerns that soaring AI spending would not produce returns.
The rhetoric was aligned with a second session of gains for chip producers as markets grappled with concerns that spending could slow on AI infrastructure against the large potential upside on the trade.
Micron and Sandisk gained, erasing the selloff from the week, while AMD added 4% and Nvidia gained 3%.
In turn, Apple slipped 7% as the shortage for chips raised costs and dented production.
Meanwhile, Exxon and Chevron were mixed after their earnings, unveiling the magnitude of the benefit from soaring energy costs from the Middle East-war.
