US stock indices surged on Tuesday with the S&P 500 and the Dow advancing 0.8% each while the Nasdaq climbed 1.1%, as markets staged a relief rally following Monday's sharp selloff. Sentiment was bolstered by easing fears that AI would immediately displace enterprise software, with Salesforce gaining 4.1% and IBM rebounding 2.7% as analysts defended the resilience of legacy services. AMD was the session's standout, soaring 8.8% after Meta announced a multiyear deal to deploy 6 gigawatts of AMD’s graphics processing units for its AI data centers. Furthermore, DocuSign rose 2.6% following news that Anthropic's Claude Cowork now connects to its platform, reinforcing a narrative of AI as a complement to existing tools.
