US 1-Year Inflation Outlook Revised Down

The year-ahead inflation expectations in the United States, as compiled by the survey of the University of Michigan, was revised slightly down to an over one-year low of 3.4% in February 2026, compared to an earlier estimate of 3.5%, and below January's 4%.

In the meantime, the five-year inflation outlook was also revised to 3.3% from an earlier estimate of 3.4%, matching January's reading.
