US 1-Year Inflation Outlook Revised Down

The year-ahead inflation expectations in the United States, as compiled by the survey of the University of Michigan, was revised slightly lower to 4% in January 2026, the lowest in a year, compared to an earlier estimate of 4.2%.
The reading was also below December's 4.2%.
In the meantime, the five-year inflation outlook came in at 3.3% in January, down slightly from the preliminary reading of 3.4% but above December's 3.2%.
