US 1-Year Inflation Outlook Steady at Near 1-Year Low

The year-ahead inflation expectations in the United States, as compiled by the survey of the University of Michigan, stood at a near one-year low of 4.2% in January 2026, unchanged from December, preliminary estimates showed.

In the meantime, the five-year inflation outlook inched up to 3.4% in January, from a one-year low of 3.2% in the previous month.
