US Home Prices Stall in September: FHFA

US single-family home prices backed by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were flat in September 2025, following a 0.4% increase in August.
For the third quarter, prices rose 0.2% from the previous quarter, signaling modest growth.
Year-over-year, home values were up 2.2% between Q3 2024 and Q3 2025.
Nearly all census divisions posted annual gains, with the Middle Atlantic showing the strongest appreciation at 5.7%.
The only exception was the Pacific division, where prices edged down 0.1%.
