US House Prices Rise More than Expected in October: FHFA

US single-family home prices backed by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac rose 0.4% in October 2025, above market expectations of a 0.1% increase and following a downwardly revised 0.1% decrease in September.
For the nine census divisions, home price changes ranged from -0.4% in the East South Central division to 1% in the West South Central division.
Year-over-year, house prices rose 1.7% in October.
The 12-month changes ranged from -0.7% in the West South Central division to 5.3% in the Middle Atlantic division.
