US export prices rose by 1.6% month-over-month in March 2026, easing from an upwardly revised 1.9% advance in February but slightly above analysts' forecasts of a 1.5% increase.
Export prices for nonagricultural commodities rose 1.7% in March, following a 2.1% increase in February, with gains in industrial supplies and materials more than offsetting declines in capital goods and consumer goods excluding automotives.
Agricultural export prices increased 0.9%, the same pace as in February, mainly on account of soybeans, fruit and meat.
On a yearly basis, US export prices rose 5.6% in March, marking the strongest increase since November 2022, after a revised 3.8% advance in the prior month.
