US crude inventories fell by 0.64 million barrels in the week ended September 11, 2026, less than market expectations for a 1.6 million-barrel drop.

Crude stocks at the Cushing, Oklahoma, delivery hub decreased by 0.342 million barrels in the week.

Refinery crude runs dropped by 256,000 barrels per day.

Gasoline stocks increased by 0.794 million barrels, compared with forecasts for a 1 million-barrel draw.

Distillate stockpiles, which include diesel and heating oil, rose by 1.585 million barrels, more than expectations for a 0.1 million-barrel increase.

Net US crude imports rose by 1.18 million barrels per day.

Gasoline stocks increased by 1.269 million barrels, compared with forecasts for a 1.4 million-barrel draw. Distillate stockpiles, which include diesel and heating oil, rose by 2.087 million barrels, versus expectations for a 0.7 million-barrel drop. Net US crude imports rose by 1.12 million barrels per day.

Distillate stockpiles, which include diesel and heating oil, rose for the first time in five weeks by 0.796 million barrels, compared to expectations for a 1.3 million-barrel drop.
