US Wage Growth Matches Estimates at 0.3%

Average hourly earnings for all employees on US private nonfarm payrolls rose by 13 cents, or 0.3%, over a month to $37.64 in June 2026, the same pace as in May and matching market forecasts. In June, average hourly earnings of private-sector production and nonsupervisory employees rose by 7 cents, or 0.2%, to $32.38. Over the year, average hourly earnings have increased by 3.5%, following a 3.4% rise in May and also in line with market estimates.

Over the year, average hourly earnings have increased by 3.4% in May, down from a 3.6% advance in the prior month, also in line with analysts' estimates.

In April, average hourly earnings of private-sector production and nonsupervisory employees rose by 11 cents, or 0.3%, to $32.23. Over the year, average hourly earnings have increased by 3.6%, up from a downwardly revised 3.4% rise in March but below the expected 3.8% advance.
