Cabot Corporation is a global specialty chemicals and performance materials company. The Company operates through three segments: Reinforcement Materials, Performance Chemicals, and Purification Solutions. The Reinforcement Materials segment consists of the rubber blacks and elastomer composites product lines. The Performance Chemicals segment combines the specialty carbons, fumed metal oxides and aerogel product lines into the Performance Additives business, and combines the specialty compounds and inkjet colorants product lines into the Formulated Solutions business. The Purification Solutions segment consists of the Company’s activated carbon business. The Company’s activated carbon products are used for the purification of water, air, food and beverages, pharmaceuticals and other liquids and gases. Its principal products are rubber and specialty grade carbon blacks, specialty compounds, fumed metal oxides, activated carbons, inkjet colorants, and aerogel.
