US Futures Trade in Tight Range

2026-08-13 11:59 By Andre Joaquim 1 min. read

US equity futures were muted ahead of key price data, while major AI companies held their strong momentum from recent sessions.

The S&P 500 inched up to a record, while the Nasdaq 100 and the Dow were close to the flatline.

Chip stocks and companies with exposure to AI infrastructure held their strong gains from yesterday, tracking counterparts in South Korea.

Reports that Anthropic is chasing an IPO and its potential purchase of Decart AI continued to underpin the outlook for compute expenditures.

Micron, Nvidia, and Amazon were higher.

Meanwhile, producer prices are expected to rebound after June's lower reading, although a soft increase could consolidate the case for a rate hold by the Fed next month after the release tame consumer inflation.
