US equity indices gained ground on Tuesday amid fresh stability for the technology sector and lower inflationary risks.
The S&P 500 gained 0.5%, the Nasdaq 100 rose 1%, and Dow gained 100 points to a record high.
AI companies extended their rebounds from last week as the market shook off momentary jitters on the speculative AI trade, spurred by strong guidance from chip producers, despite concerning levels of spending for hyperscalers.
AMD, Intel, Marvell, Applied Materials, and Sandisk jumped up to 7%.
Meanwhile, oil prices consolidated near their pre-war levels to ease the likelihood that the Federal Reserve would be forced into a hiking cycle.
The improved backdrop for the corporate sector supported traditional sectors of the economy that have more exposure in the Dow, driving the index to outperform others in June.
Alphabet was over 5% higher since joining the Dow on Monday.
Meanwhile, the S&P 500 was set to gain 15% in Q2, the strongest quarter in six years.
