US Futures Inch Higher

US equity futures were muted on Friday, holding gains from the last sessions amid broad enthusiasm for the AI sector and lingering hopes for progress in a deal between the US and Iran.

Contracts tracking the S&P 500 and the Dow were 0.4% higher, while those for the Nasdaq 100 flat.

US Secretary of State Rubio noted that the distance between concessions that the US offers and those desired by Iran is decreasing, limiting concerns for escalation over the weekend.

Still, markets continued to expect a prolonged suspension of regular energy exports through the Middle East as pro-inflationary risks maintained long-term yields elevated.

Workday surged over 8.2% premarket after beating earnings estimates in the first quarter.

Nvidia rebounded from its slight pullback yesterday after delivering earnings.

The chip giant beat its headline results but the incoming revenue guidance was underwhelming to a select group of analysts.
