US energy firms withdrew 144 billion cubic feet of natural gas from storage in the week ended February 13, 2026, slightly above expectations for a 146 bcf draw.
That figure compares with a draw of 182 bcf during the same week a year ago and a five-year average decline of 151 bcf for this time of year.
Total stockpiles dropped to 2.070 trillion cubic feet, leaving inventories 2.8% below year ago levels and 5.6% under the five year average.
The latest decline follows a 249 bcf withdrawal in the previous week as a lingering Arctic blast continued to freeze much of the country.
