The year-ahead inflation expectations in the United States, as compiled by the survey of the University of Michigan, was revised higher to 3.8% in March 2026, compared to an earlier estimate of 3.4%, and above February's 3.4%.

In the meantime, the five-year inflation outlook was kept at 3.2%, down from 3.3% in each of the previous two months.
