The year-ahead inflation expectations in the United States, as compiled by the survey of the University of Michigan, stood at an over one-year low of 3.4% in March 2026, matching February's reading, preliminary estimates showed.

In the meantime, the five-year inflation outlook eased to 3.2%, from 3.3% in each of the previous two months.
