US CPI Rises 0.3% in June, the Largest Increase in Five Months

The Consumer Price Index in the United States increased 0.3% month-over-month in June 2025, the biggest gain in five months, compared to 0.1% in May and in line with market expectations.
The index for shelter rose 0.2% and was the primary factor in the all items monthly increase.
Also, gasoline prices rose 1% and food cost went up 0.3%.
Meanwhile, price decreases were recorded for used cars and trucks (-0.7%) and new vehicles (-0.3%).
