US export prices jumped 1.5% month-over-month in February 2026, far outpacing forecasts of 0.5% and marking the sharpest increase since May 2022.
The rise was fueled by a 1.7% spike in nonagricultural exports, including industrial supplies, consumer goods, capital goods, and automotive products.
Agricultural export prices also climbed 0.7%, led by higher costs for meat, soybeans, and vegetables, following a 0.2% gain in January.
On a yearly basis, export prices climbed 3.5% in February, the largest increase since last September.
