US Consumer Credit Growth Accelerates in June

Total US consumer credit rose by $7.37 billion in June 2025, accelerating from a $5.1 billion gain in May and slightly above market expectations of a $7 billion increase.
Revolving credit, which includes credit cards, grew at an annual rate of 0.7%, while nonrevolving credit, such as auto and student loans, expanded at a 2.9% pace.
Overall, consumer credit rose at an annual rate of 1.8% in June, reflecting modest but steady growth in borrowing.
