US Crude Oil Inventories Increase for 4th Week

United States crude oil inventories jumped by 3.72 million barrels in the week ended April 3rd 2026 as stocks continued to climb for a fourth straight week following a significant 10.263 million barrel increase in the previous week.

Gasoline inventories fell by 3.97 million barrels following a 3.209 million barrel decline in the previous period.

Distillate stockpiles which include diesel and heating oil decreased by 599,000 barrels following a 1.04 million barrel drop in the previous period.

US crude oil inventories rose by 10.263 million barrels in the week ended March 27th 2026 the most in many weeks following a 2.3 million barrel increase in the previous week and compared to expectations of a 1.3 million barrel decline. Meanwhile gasoline inventories fell by 3.209 million barrels reversing a 500,000 barrel increase in the previous period. Distillate stockpiles which include diesel and heating oil decreased by 1.04 million barrels following a 1.4 million barrel gain in the previous period.
