The value of exports in October 2013 amounted to SEK 97.3 billion, while imports were valued at SEK 92.9 billion. Compared to October 2012, the value of exports decreased by 7 percent, while the imports decreased by 5 percent. Trade with countries outside the EU resulted in a surplus of SEK 16.1 billion, while the EU trade resulted in a deficit of SEK11.7 billion.
In the period of January to October, the value of both exports and imports decreased by 8 percent, compared to the corresponding period one year ago. Exports amounted to SEK 909.4 billion, and imports were valued at SEK 855.2 billion, resulting in a surplus net trade balance of SEK 54.2 billion. The corresponding surplus figure for these months one year earlier was SEK 57.4 billion.
