The highest year-on-year price increases were registered for prices of transport (6.53 percent), restaurants and hotels (4.59 percent) and education (4.55 percent). Cost of food, alcoholic beverages and tobacco increased by 3.75 percent and accommodation by 2.98 percent. Communication prices dropped 6.95 percent.
The core index, which strips out some volatile food and energy prices, rose 0.09 percent, up from 0.03 percent in July.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased 0.28 percent.
