Futures tracking US equity indices were muted on Wednesday, holding close to records as optimism around the AI economy offset concerns around the prolonged impasse between Iran and the US.
Contracts for the S&P 500, Dow, and Nasdaq 100 were near the flatline.
Energy prices rose further to maintain pro-inflationary risks and lingering bets that the Federal Reserve is due for a rate hike this year, with reports of strikes between Iran and GCC hosting US bases exchanging strikes overnight.
Still, bullish bets on AI demand and soaring orders for AI infrastructure continued to support the sector, resulting in another session of Nasdaq outperformance.
Marvell surged 15% premarket to extend the 30% increase in the last session after Nvidia CEO Huang stated the semiconductor producer could be the next trillion-dollar company.
Also, Meta added around 1% to halt its losses this week.
Meanwhile, Macy's was 3% higher premarket after beating earnings estimates and upgrading their forecasts.
