US equity futures pared most of their early losses, with Dow Jones contracts hovering near the flatline, while S&P 500 futures slipped 0.3% and Nasdaq 100 futures fell 0.4% less than two hours before the opening bell.
Dip buyers stepped in, helping stabilize sentiment, though a nearly 12.5% plunge in Oracle shares continued to weigh on the tech and AI sectors.
Oracle reported weaker-than-expected revenue, missed estimates on cloud sales, and issued guidance that failed to impress investors.
Most megacap stocks traded lower in premarket action, including Nvidia (-1.4%), Microsoft (-0.4%), Amazon (-0.6%), Alphabet (-0.2%), Meta (-0.7%), and Tesla (-0.5%).
Apple, however, edged up 0.3%.
Among chipmakers, AMD lost 1.1%, while Broadcom dropped 1.5% ahead of its quarterly results due after the closing bell.
