US PCE Inflation Lowest in 10-Months

The personal consumption expenditure price index in the United States increased by 6 percent year-on-year in October of 2022, below 6.3% in September.

It is the lowest reading so far this year.

Prices for goods increased 7.2% and prices for services 5.4%.

Excluding food and energy, the PCE price index increased 5%, also below 5.2% in September.

Month over month, the index rose by 0.3% in October of 2022, the same as in the previous month and matching market expectations.
