US Crude Oil Inventories Unexpectedly Rise: EIA

Crude oil inventories in the US rose by 3.845 million barrels in the week ended June 27, 2025, compared with market expectations of a 2 million barrel decrease, according to data from the EIA Petroleum Status Report.
The increase is the largest in three months and over 3 million barrels more than 680,000 barrel increase seen by the industry-funded American Petroleum Institute.
On the other hand, stocks in the Cushing, Oklahoma, delivery hub went down by 1.493 million barrels.
Among refined fuels, gasoline stocks increased by 4.188 million barrels while stocks of distillate fuels fell by 1.710 million barrels.
