The largest downward pressure on the overall annual rate of change came from changes in prices of transport (-3.7 percent), followed by clothing and footwear costs (-2.1 percent), household equipment (-0.5 percent) and recreation and culture (-0.1 percent).
The biggest upward pressure came from alcoholic beverages and tobacco (+3.5 percent), food prices (+1.9 percent) and restaurants and hotels (+1.5 percent).
The annual core inflation rate in September, measured by the CPI excluding energy and unprocessed food, was 0.3 percent (0.0 percent in August). The CPI monthly rate was 0.6 percent (-0.7 percent in August 2013).
