The index for housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels contributed 0.3 percentage points to the overall increase and the prices of health, restaurants and hotels contributed 0.2 points. The biggest downward contributions came from clothing and footwear (down 3.4 percent) and transports (down 1.5 percent).
The average value of rents by net area for the whole country decreased 0.1 percent. The most relevant decreases were registered in the Norte region (-0.3 percent) and in the Centro and Algarve regions (-0.1 percent).
The annual core inflation rate, measured by the CPI excluding energy and unprocessed food products, moved from 0.5 percent in May to 0.6 percent in June.
