Switzerland's Unemployment Falls to 2.8% in June


Switzerland’s unemployment rate continued to move downwards, falling to 2.8 percent in June from 2.9 percent in May.

The seasonally adjusted jobless rate remained at 3 percent in June, unchanged from May.

The number of unemployed persons registered with the regional employment offices in the country totaled 110,378 at the end of June, down from 114,684 at the end of May. Compared to last year, unemployment fell 23.6 percent.

The number of job seekers totaled 165,742, which was 5,427 less than in the previous month and 20.8 percent less than a year earlier.
