Swiss Inflation Rises 0.4% in May


Swiss Consumer prices rose 0.4 percent from a year ago compared to 0.3 percent in April, and were flat compared with the previous month, the Federal Statistics Office said on June 7.

Prices for transport, clothing and shoes, and foodstuffs rose in May. But there were declines in the cost of housing and energy prices and in other areas.

The prices of imported goods fell by 0.6 percent on average from a year earlier.
