Swiss Unemployment is Accelerating


Unemployment in Switzerland rose to its highest level in 2 years in February as companies continued to axe jobs at a faster rate in reaction to the economic downturn.

The total number of unemployed rose to 14,800 in February compared with 12,300 in January.  When adjusted for seasonal swings, the unemployment rate inched up to 3.1 percent from 2.9 percent in January
