BUA Foods Plc is a food and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) company engaged in the processing, manufacturing, production, and distribution of products such as sugar, flour, pasta, rice, and edible oils, as well as packaged foods. Its operations comprise five divisions: Sugar, Flour, Pasta, Rice, and Edible Oils. The Sugar Division is engaged in the production, milling, processing, and refining of sugar and its by-products such as bagasse, molasses, and mud cakes. The Flour Division engages in the processing, manufacturing, and distribution of flour for large-scale and small-scale use. The Pasta Division engages in the processing, manufacturing, and distribution of pasta. The Rice Division has a rice milling facility in Kano with a milling capacity of approximately 200,000 metric tons (MT) per annum. The Edible Oils Division specializes in the conversion of crude palm oil into oil products, including palm olein, stearin, and distilled fatty acids, among others.
