Hungarian Economy Expands 1.7% YoY in Q3


In the third quarter of 2013, Hungarian GDP grew by 1.7 percent compared to the same period last year, up from 0.5 percent expansion in the second quarter. Main contributors to the expansion were agriculture, manufacturing and construction

In the third quarter of 2013, GDP rose 1.2 percentage point higher than in the previous quarter, reaching the highest growth rate since the first three months of 2011.

On quarter-on-quarter basis, the economy grew a seasonally adjusted 0.8 percent,  after a revised 0.4 percent advance in the previous three month period.
