Figures for September were revised upwards to show unemployment rate at 26 percent from an initial 25.7 percent.
In October, employment increased 0.2 percent over the previous month to 3,585,234 persons. Year-on-year, it increased 2.1 percent.
The number of unemployed persons fell 1.1 percent compared with September to 1,245,340. Year-on-year, it dropped 7.7 percent.
There were 3,288,819 inactive persons (persons that neither worked neither looked for a job) in October, 0.1 percent more than in September but 0.3 percent less than a year earlier.
Youth unemployment rate was recorded at 50.6 percent. It is the highest rate among age groups.
