Exports from France advanced 4.7 percent from a month earlier to a record high of EUR 44.3 billion in May 2019 as deliveries of military equipment grew 4.6 percent, reaching the highest level in 15 years. Also, there was sharp increase in exports of transport equipment (7.6%), namely aerospace products (10.5%) and pharmaceuticals (13.4%). Shipments also rose for natural hydrocarbons, mining products, electricity (8.5%); other industrial products (4%); agro products (2.5%); chemicals; perfumery & cosmetics (3.5%); mechanical, electrical, electronic & computer equipment (1.8%). In contrast, sales were down for coke and refined petroleum products (-7.6%) and agricultural, forestry, fishery and aquaculture products (-15.3%). Among major trading partners, shipments rose to the EU (0.6%), Asia (14.9%) and Middle East (26.1%) whereas they fell to Africa (-6%), America (-0.7%) and Others (-23.2%). Exports in France averaged 19525.25 EUR Million from 1970 until 2019, reaching an all time high of 44266 EUR Million in May of 2019 and a record low of 1165.60 EUR Million in May of 1970.
