The index is based on a group of eight indicators reflecting different aspects of economic activity including: Hang Seng China Mainland circulation index, investment in newly started project, ratio of industrial production, real estate development leading index, money supply M2, national debt interest rate spread, consumer expectations index, logistics Index. The index has a base value of 100 as of 1996.
